Generating images is always a fun exercise. For this one, inspired by Christopher Nolan’s “Odyssey”, I gave the following prompt to different models.
“Assume that Hans Zimmer is going to score the next Christopher Nolan movie based on Homer's Iliad but set in 2100. I want a retro vinyl record cover for this movie that represents the Nolan and Zimmer collaboration with the aesthetic of a Greek epic set in the 2100.”
Notes: Personally, I think GPT5.5 delivered on both the instructions provided and also something I personally like as a vinyl cover. Muse Spark has interesting ideas but didnt deliver on the “vinyl” part of the prompt. Gemini was somewhere in the middle. Opus 4.8 does not natively create images so it created an svg that I requested to be converred to jpg. It also overthought a lot. There is a long thesis behind this design. Interesting but maybe overkill for the task at hand and honestly, doesnt make for a compelling vinyl cover.
